Lawn-Boy

Lawn-Boy Features

Models come in lightweight cast aluminum decks that won't rust (GoldPro Series) or durable 14-gauge steel (SilverPro Series and Silver Series).

Rear Wheel The rear wheels on Lawn-Boy's self-propelled units have metal bushings and drive gears for increased performance and longer life. Some competitive models have plastic gears or none at all. Lawn-Boy's patented "rear wheel drive system" is free wheeling in reverse, allowing the operator to easily pull back on the mower.

Front Wheel

Lawn-Boy's six inch front wheels are two inches shorter than the rear wheels. This makes the mower easier to maneuver and trim under fences, shrubs and other hard-to-reach places.

Easy Mulch System

Lawn-Boy's Easy Mulch® Cutting System uses a deck system and a patented Tri-Cut™ blade to cut thick grass into fine mulch. This combination helps bury and hide the clippings into the lawn, resulting in quality mulching performance.

Pivot Arms

Lawn-Boy's self-propelled units include die-cast aluminum pivot arms with oil impregnated bushings and grease fittings. This provides periodic lubrication, which reduces wear on the transmission output shaft.

Gear Train

Our durable self-propelled system includes a fully enclosed gear train, in a gearbox without secondary V-belts, for long life and maintenance free performance. Some competitive models use a friction drive system with many more moving parts that result in increased maintenance.

Easy Stride

Lawn-Boy's Easy Stride transmission allows infinite mowing speeds up to 4 miles per hour.  Simply apply slight pressure to the handle and the mower will adjust its speed to match your walking stride.  Available on GoldPro Series self-propel models.

Transmission

Lawn-Boy's transmission allows for variable speed operation.  Simply increase or decrease pressure on the drive belt to achieve the precise speed you want.  Available on Silver Series and SilverPro Series self-propel models.

Staggered Wheel

Lawn-Boy's exclusive staggered wheel is more maneuverable, allows for closer trimming and has three points of contact with the ground for less scalping.  The side discharge location forces grass to be dispersed more evenly over a broader area.
