While all Honda Masters mowers come standard as rear-baggers, available kits can quickly transform your Honda into a twin-blade mulcher or side discharge mower. For spring and fall clean-up, a leaf shredder attachment is also available. The leaf shredder allows your bag to collect more clippings and leaves before emptying.

Honda Masters Series mowers offer a choice of either a 3-speed gear or infinitely variable hydrostatic drive transmission. Only Honda offers a hydrostatic transmission on a 21" walk-behind mower. This allows you to control the precise speed of the mower to match your desired pace. All Honda Masters lawnmowers are shaft-driven. This means you'll never have to worry about belt slippage or replacement. Both 3-speed and hydro models are sealed transmissions which require no maintenance (under normal conditions).

Honda Masters wheels are manufactured in high-impact plastic with reinforcing ribs for increased strength and durability. This allows the mower to stand up to the rigors of bumping curbs, sidewalks and driveways. Heavy-duty rubber tires and inner/outer ball bearing front wheels ensure smooth movement of the mower.

Honda Masters mowers feature a rugged, cast aluminum mowing deck which will never rust or dent. Six mowing heights (3/4 - 3") are cast into the deck to ensure accurate, consistent mowing or mulching.

Honda Masters® Series walk-behind mowers are powered by Honda's commercial-grade GXV140 overhead valve engine. This easy-starting, reliable, and quiet engine meets industrial specifications and complies with EPA and CARB emission levels. Cast iron cylinder sleeve, two-stage air filter, ball bearing supported crankshaft, electronic ignition and mechanical governor are some of the standards you'd expect in a commercial-grade engine and that's what you get with a Honda GXV Series engine. The 5.0 horsepower GXV140 is perfectly matched, with power in reserve, for the demanding mowing conditions that you may encounter.

Honda's patented Roto-Stop® system allows the mower engine to run without the blade spinning. Honda was the first with a blade-brake-clutch that met CPSC requirements for safety back in 1978. So, it's no surprise that the blade control on the Honda Masters is strong and simple.
